Gaata Rahe is a tool for organizing karaoke events. Hosts create events; participants register, pick songs, and see the running order. We provide the software — the events themselves are run by their hosts, not by us.

By creating an account or registering for an event, you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use the site.

Keep your login details to yourself, and give accurate contact information — hosts rely on it to reach you about the event you signed up for. One person, one account: duplicate accounts get merged or removed.

You must be old enough to consent to the use of your data where you live, or have a parent or guardian register on your behalf.

We do not handle money. Any ticket price, cover charge, or fee is arranged and collected directly by the host. A host marking you “paid” here is just their own record-keeping.

That means refunds, cancellations, venue changes, and disputes about an event are between you and the host. If an event is cancelled, contact the host. We can pass on contact details, but we can't issue refunds we never received.

Hosts are responsible for their own events: the venue, any licences the venue or performance requires, safety, and how they treat their participants. Registering someone is a host's decision, and so is turning them away.

Hosts who keep a contact list are responsible for what's in it. Only add people who gave you their number for this — friends, regulars, people who asked to be told about your next event. Don't add numbers harvested from a group without asking, and remove anyone who asks to be removed. Use the list to invite people to your events, not for anything else.

When you submit a YouTube link, or put a backing track in a host's shared folder, you're telling us you have the right to use it for the event. Don't share anything you don't have the right to.

Backing tracks now live in a folder the host provides — Google Drive or similar — not on this site. That folder is the host's, governed by whoever provides it, and what happens to files in it is between you and the host. We can see neither the folder nor its contents.

Files uploaded to this site before that change are deleted automatically about a week after the event date. Gaata Rahe is not a music library, a download service, or a way to keep copies of recordings.

We can remove any song, file, event, or account that appears to infringe someone's rights or breaks these terms. If you believe something here infringes your copyright, tell the organizers and we'll take it down.

Don't use Gaata Rahe to:

• harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone
• collect other participants' details for anything other than the event
• register under a false name or with someone else's contact details
• break into accounts, probe the site for weaknesses, or scrape it in bulk

Accounts that do can be deactivated or deleted, usually without warning. Deactivation is reversible; deletion is not.

Only what the site needs to work:

• Your account — name, email, phone number, and whether you're a host.
• Your registrations — which events you signed up for, your song choice, and the host's notes on payment, admission, and check-in.
• Uploaded audio — until it is deleted a week after the event.
• Events you host — including edit history, so a mistaken change can be undone.
• A host's contact list — if you host, the names and phone numbers of people you add so you can invite them to future events. This can include people who have no account here yet.

We don't run advertising, we don't use tracking or analytics cookies, and we don't sell or rent your data to anyone. The only cookie we set is the one that keeps you logged in.

The host of an event you register for — and any co-hosts they've added — can see your name, email, and phone number. They need it to confirm your spot and reach you on the day.

Other participants at the same event see only your name and your song title on the lineup. Never your email or phone.

A host may also keep you in their own contact list, so they can invite you to their future events. That list is visible only to that host and to organizers — never to other hosts or participants. Ask the host to remove you and they can, or ask us.

Organizers (site admins) can see all accounts, in order to fix problems and remove duplicates. Beyond that, we share data only with the services that run the site — our hosting and database provider and our email provider — and only so they can deliver it. Those services may store data outside your country.

Uploaded audio goes automatically about a week after the event. Registration and event records stay while your account exists, since hosts and participants both refer back to past events.

Want your account gone? Ask the organizers. We can deactivate it — you can no longer sign in, but nothing is destroyed — or delete it outright. Deleting removes your profile, your registrations, and any events you host. If other people are registered for an event you host, we will deactivate rather than delete, so their records aren't collateral damage; ask us to hand the event over or cancel it first.

You can correct your own name and phone number any time on your profile, and doing so updates your existing registrations too. Your password can be changed on the same page, or reset by email from the login page if you've forgotten it. To change your login email, ask the organizers.

Gaata Rahe is provided as-is. We try to keep it up and keep your data intact, but we can't promise it will never be down, never lose data, or never have a bug — so keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose. Hosts can export their registration list at any time, and should before the event.

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses arising from using the site, from an event not going ahead, or from a host's conduct. Nothing here limits rights you have that can't legally be limited.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll say so on the site. Continuing to use Gaata Rahe after a change means you accept the new version.
